Founded in 1952, the Theta Charity Antiques Show of Houston raises funds for local educational, art, medical and community assistance organizations while providing a cultural experience for the city of Houston.

TEXAS CHILDREN’S CANCER CENTER
Since 2011, the Theta Charity Antiques Show’s funds have provided continued funding to the Kappa Alpha Theta Cancer Research Scholars Program.

Kappa Alpha Theta Foundation’s Capital Campaign will establish endowments for the Educational Leadership Consultant program and our needs-based scholarship program. Both have the potential to impact every college chapter and collegian of Kappa Alpha Theta and are vital to the future success of our members..

BRIDGES TO LIFE
Proceeds from the Theta Charity Antiques Show will be directed to programming within the Santa Maria Hostel. This is a program of Bridges to Life whose overall mission is to connect communities to prisons in an effort to reduce the recidivism rate, reduce the number of crime victims and enhace public safety. Having the distinction as the largest treatment center in Texas, the Santa Maria Hostel features two residential facilities capable of providing a home-like environment for women alone and with their children while in treatment for addiction.
CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY SERVICE CENTER
The Theta Charity Antiques Show funds will be directed towards Martha’s Way, a vocational training program designed to increase the earning potential of low-income women and men. This innovative curriculum focuses on the field of residential housekeeping.
FREEDOM PLACE
This is a Christ-centered care and recovery center for underage female victims of domestic child sex trafficking operated by Arrow Child and Family Matters. It is the first long-term, comprehensive care facility in Texas for underage victims of domestic child sex trafficking and is one of only five such facilities in the United States. The Theta Charity Antiques Show proceeds will fund programs at this facility.
THE HARRIS SCHOOL
The Harris School focuses on the emotional world of the child and its impact on their behaviors. It provides an exceptional learning environment for students and their families by using an intergrated academic and therapeutic program designed to enhance self awareness, problem solving skills and social-emotional well-being. The Theta Charity Antiques Show will fund computers for the school.
THE HAY CENTER
Implemented in 1986 by the State of Texas to ensure that older youth in substitute care are prepared for their inevitable departure from Family and Protective Services, the HAY Center enables foster youth and alumni to become successful productive adults. Theta Charity Antiques Show proceeds will fund programs under their guidance.
L.I.F.E. HOUSTON
Local Infant Formula for Emergencies is a local, non-profit agency whose mission is to provide families with infant formula through its “Food for Hungry Babies” program. Funds from the Theta Charity Antiques Show will purchase formula for the pantry.
THEATER UNDER THE STARS
The River Performing and Visual Arts Center, an Affiliate of TUTS, offers a fine arts summer camp to children with disabilities. The Theta Charity Antiques show will fund a registered nurse for the 2016 summer program.
